CheqIT is operated by Cheqit LLC (“CheqIT”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us any time at info@cheqitxyz.com. Our website is https://cheqitxyz.com.

This policy applies to:

• our marketing website at cheqitxyz.com;
• the CheqIT staff application used on venue iPads and check-in kiosks; and
• the guest claim experience, including claim links, SMS messages, and optional wallet passes.

• Property check-in data: photos of checked items (coats, bags, luggage), tag or ticket numbers, drop-off and pickup times, and notes entered by staff.
• Guest claim data: an optional guest photo, a mobile phone number used for SMS claim messages, and/or a 4-digit PIN chosen at check-in.
• Staff account data: name, work email, venue assignment, role, and activity logs of check-in and release actions.
• Website data: information you submit through our contact or demo request form, plus basic technical and usage data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.

• to match a guest with their property and authorize its release;
• to send claim, ready-for-pickup, and confirmation messages by SMS or wallet pass;
• to give venues operational reporting such as volume, wait times, and unclaimed items;
• to secure the service, prevent fraudulent claims, and investigate disputes; and
• to provide customer support and respond to your questions.

When CheqIT is used at a hotel, venue, or event, that organization is the controller of its guests’ data and CheqIT acts as its service provider (processor). We handle guest data according to the venue’s instructions and our agreement with them. Guests with questions about a specific check-in should contact the venue; we are happy to help route the request.

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not use guest photos or phone numbers for advertising.
• We do not share guest photos or phone numbers with third parties to train their models.

We share information with the venue that operates the check-in, and with service providers who help us run CheqIT (for example hosting, database, and SMS delivery providers) under contracts that limit their use of the data. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of guests, venues, or CheqIT.

Guest claim data — including item photos, guest photos, phone numbers, and PINs — is retained only as long as needed to complete the check-in and resolve any related dispute, and then deleted or de-identified according to the venue’s configured retention period. Staff account records and aggregate operational reporting are kept for the life of the venue’s subscription.

We use encryption in transit, access controls scoped to a staff member’s venue, and audit logging of check-in and release actions. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we work to protect data appropriately for its sensitivity.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us at info@cheqitxyz.com and we will respond, or forward your request to the venue that controls the data.

CheqIT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child’s information was provided to us, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify venue administrators.
